Top female MMA fighter Megumi Fujii (20-0) will make her second appearance for Bellator Fighting Championship at Bellator 24, next month against Angela Magana (8-4 MMA).
The July 2010 Women's Independent World MMA Rankings indicate Fujii is the No. 1 junior flyweight, while Magana is the No. 8 junior flyweight fighter.
Fujii made her Bellator debut in June, when she picked up her first TKO victory against Sarah Schneider. The Japanese fighter is widely regarded as the top female fighters, and is considered a pound-for-pound best alongside the likes of Cyborg Santos.
Magana is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter that has been a professional for three years, and has fought for HOOKnSHOOT and Tuff-N-Uff. She has five submission victories as part of her eight overall victories in her young MMA career.
Fujii, who is a favorite to win the Bellator women's 115-pound tournament, should be able to submit Magana. If Jessica Aguilar and Jessica Pene were able to secure submissions against Magana, I believe it's only a matter of time before Fujii locks in a submission.
